This chart titled 'N. Bruni.' shows early grantees of North Bruny Island including George Augustus Robinson, a well know conciliator of Aborigines in Van Diemen's Land. In 1829 Robinson was appointed 'Storekeeper' at Bruny Island. He was employed to distribute rations to the local Aborigines but also took it upon himself to attempt to educate the children and introduce them to Christian principals and European habits. Buildings from that time are shown on Robinson's 500 acre lot.
