Certified by Surveyor Richard Hall on 2 April 1859, notations on this plan of land for sale include names and occasionally payment details of purchasers. Originally known as Latour, the town of Longford was proclaimed in the mid 1800s. Land belonging to prominent early settler William Archer is clearly marked on the western boundary of the plan.
