As evidenced by the handwritten notations, it is likely that this wonderfully detailed chart of the Hobart Town waterfront was prepared by William Frankland for Tasmania's Executive Council in 1832. The full-size chart shows an impressive row of gun turrets around Battery Point, finely detailed rigging on ships at anchor in the cove and the Battery Point property 'Secheron', granted to Surveyor-General George Frankland in 1830 and later home to Sir John Pedder, the first Chief Justice of Van Diemen's Land.

Reproductions are inkjet printed on high quality paper using colour-fast UV tolerant inks. These plans and charts are suitable for laminating or framing.
