Perth 10 - Historical Chart
Year: circa 1865
Print Size: 68.5cm x 52cm
Settled in 1821, the township of Perth was well established when this plan was created. The route of today's Midland Highway bisects the town as "The Launceston Road". While the location of a proposed bridge across the South Esk River is depicted, the bridge was constructed well to the south of the old punt crossing. Close examination reveals the penciled-in location of the actual bridge site.
