Published by the Transport Department (Railway Branch) at a scale of 12 miles to 1 inch with elevation tinting, this map portrays the government railway lines of the Main Line, Derwent Valley Line, Fingal Line, North Eastern Line, Western Line, Mole Creek Line, Sheffield Line, Nietta Line, Stanley Trowutta Line, Marrawah Tram and the Strahan Zeehan Line. The private Emu Bay Railway Company’s Line is shown to Zeehan and the Mount Lyell Company’s Line is shown from Strahan to Queenstown. Included is an inset showing Hobart’s suburban stations.
